Vitality, Inspiration, & Voice
We all carry embers of inspiration
Our vitality is a nourishable center of aliveness and this center of aliveness is a place where the call for inspiration and voice come from.
The complexity of day to day stressors in our lives can make it very challenging to care well for this ember of life force, and can make it challenging to repond to that call. Sometimes we loose contact with this river of aliveness, sometimes it feels like our river of liveliness has dried up.
Grief and worry for all the sorrows of the world - for climate unravelling, wars, gun violence, and poverty - and for our own personal experiences of loss and heartbreak - can overshadow our relationship with our aliveness. Our vitality may feel watered down, weighed down, stagnated, buried, lost. Sometimes forces from our relational lives, imprints from early family life, or contemporary entanglements, can impact our connection with our life force. We may have experienced ridicule, humiliation, rejection, when we dared to show an authentic aspect of ourselves; painful experiences such as this can make us feel protective and guarded of our voice, can make us lose confidence in ourselves and our offerings. Many of us are in caregiving roles, which can make it very hard to find time or offer time and attention to our own flow.
Yet, our vitality is indeed a nourishable center of aliveness, an ember that is inextinquishable. Given conditions that allow us time and space and curiosity to feel into that center of life force, conditions that collectively and personally stimulate this well spring, we can support renewal and flourishing of this center of vitality, inspiration, and voice.
If this spark calls to you, I encourage you to step forward into this circle of warm and spacious tending of aliveness, tending vitality, inspiration, and voice.
